A computer stopped reporting.

When a computer that was reporting goes quiet during that person's working hours, the dashboard says so with the time attached: "last heard from 1:54 PM". Here is how to read it.

The innocent causes, first

A closed lid, a sleeping machine, a reboot that nobody logged back in from, or simply the end of somebody's day look identical from the server, and the card deliberately does not accuse. If the tracker was stopped normally, the dashboard says "tracker stopped" with the time instead, which is a different message: that one is a fact, not a mystery.

The one command that answers it

On the machine itself, open Terminal and run:

sudo /Library/TimeNova/diagnose.sh

It travels inside every installation and answers, in one paste you can send us: is the agent installed, keyed, allowed to start, actually running, what its log says, and whether it can reach our servers. It also prints the exact commands that fix the common case where macOS has disabled the background item.

If it is the network

Nothing captured is lost while a machine is offline: the agent stores everything locally and uploads when the connection returns, so a spotty cafe Wi-Fi costs you nothing but delay.
