Install the desktop app.
The desktop app is for people who start and stop their own tracking, and it always shows you your own data. Installing takes about three minutes.
1. Get the app
If your company invited you, the invitation email contains the download link. Otherwise sign in at app.timenova.ai and follow the download prompt. Open the downloaded file and drag TimeNova to Applications, like any Mac app.
2. Sign in
Use the email and password from your invitation or signup. The app remembers your session, so you will not be asked every morning, and when you return it always shows who is signed in before anything is tracked.
3. Grant the two permissions
TimeNova asks macOS for exactly two things, and it tells you why on screen: Accessibility, which is how it reads the name of the window you are working in, and Screen Recording, which is what screenshots and recordings require. It never asks for input monitoring: what you type is never collected. If a permission dialog was dismissed, System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then the relevant section, switch TimeNova on and reopen the app.
4. Track
Press start. If your company uses projects, pick the project and task first; the app will prompt you. The clock, your breaks, and your worked-today total live on the main screen, and your own reports are always one click away. Closing the window keeps tracking and leaves an icon in the menu bar; quitting stops it cleanly.
