What TimeNova does and does not collect.

This is the article to read before rolling TimeNova out, and to share when your team asks. The longer, employee-facing version is what your employees see.

Collected while tracking

The time, the frontmost app, the window title, the web address without its query string, how recently input happened (never what the input was), whether the screen is locked, whether a call or media is active, and, per your capture settings, screenshots or low-frame-rate recordings, blurred on the machine if blur is on.

Never collected, from anyone

Keystrokes: the permission is never requested, so what people type is not captured anywhere. Query strings: stripped before storage, so tokens, reset links and searches never persist. Anything outside tracking: when tracking is stopped, paused past the idle limit, on a break, or outside restricted working hours, nothing is captured at all.

Where it lives and how long

Data is isolated per company, media is served only through short-lived signed links to your own signed-in users, and retention follows your plan, after which capture is deleted. The full detail is on the security page.
