Tracking & capture · Help center

Working hours, schedules and attendance.

Attendance in TimeNova is observed, not claimed: the schedule says what was expected, the first tracked minute says what happened, and the reports say the difference.

Setting schedules

Settings, Schedules. A schedule can belong to everyone, a group, or one person, and each is evaluated in the person's own timezone, so a Manila 9am is a Manila 9am. Night shifts that cross midnight are understood as one shift. Every account starts with an editable standard schedule, so attendance works from day one.

Reading the cards

The Team view answers the 9:15 questions: who started late, and who has not started, each computed against the person's own schedule and phrased to inform. The Attendance report rolls the same facts up over any range.

Tracking only during working hours

For silent-agent machines you can restrict capture to each person's scheduled hours. The agent pauses itself outside the shift, and the server refuses stray samples as a backstop, so the evening is off-limits by construction. On the desktop app the person pressed start themselves, so their choice stands.

Leave

Approved leave renders as a leave day on the timeline rather than as absence, so nobody is marked missing for a day the company signed off.
